NFL Trade Rumors: Miami Dolphins, Carolina Panthers the front runners for Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson

The NFL trade deadline is next Tuesday. Deshaun Watson is still a member of the Houston Texans. But for how long?

With the Miami Dolphins continuing to sink further into the NFL basement and the Carolina Panthers struggling badly with Sam Darnold, they are seen as the two teams as the front runners for Watson’s services before Tuesday’s deadline.

The Dolphins have been seen as the team that has made the most sense from the beginning. But Carolina, who have dropped four straight games after starting 3-0, have suddenly made a play into the mix.

Watson has a no-trade clause in his deal with the Texans and has the final say as to where he will play. Despite the sexual assault allegations, Watson has not been suspended by the NFL and could play at any time if he were to be active.

Houston has chosen not to play him, as they are currently 1-6 and not expected to do anything this season other than head for the top of the NFL Draft order.
