NFL to Hold Private Workout for Colin Kaepernick on Saturday

NFL insider Adam Schefter broke the news on Twitter this afternoon that NFL teams were informed that a private workout would be held this Saturday in Atlanta for Colin Kaepernick.  The session includes an on-field workout and an interview and will be recorded for those teams who can’t attend.

Kaepernick reacted on Twitter, stating league representatives reached out to him about the workout, and he’s been waiting three years for this opportunity.

After Kaepernick’s reaction, Schefter mentioned the NFL didn’t inform his reps of the Saturday workout until this morning.  Kaepernick’s reps asked for a Tuesday workout or a different Saturday, but the NFL said no.

His reps have reached out to the NFL in hopes of a list of those attending the workout.

A source indicated to me that the Atlanta Falcons privately expressed preliminary interest in Kaepernick during a recent discussion.

This could be Kaepernick’s last chance to rejoin the league.
