The New York Mets finally appear to have their next general manager.
Billy Eppler will become the next GM for the Mets.
The 45-year-old Eppler is no stranger to New York, as he was the assistant general manager under Brian Cashman for the New York Yankees from 2012-2014.
Eppler then took the Los Angeles Angels general manager job in 2015 and was there until 2020.
The Mets were in need of a GM after firing two last season; Jared Porter was dismissed after it was found out that he sent a female sexually explicit photos back in 2016.
His replacement, Zack Scott, was fired after he was charged with a DUI and put on leave.
The next order of business for the Mets is hiring a manager to replace Luis Rojas, who was dismissed after two seasons.
