For those who live in the Great Lakes regions, there will be an interesting sight out on the lakes coming within the next couple years.
A new Viking Cruise Ship is set to sail towards the Great Lakes in 2022, according to an article from Fox 21 News in Duluth.
The ship, the Viking Octanis, is making its debut in January 2022 and its notable stops include the Great Lakes and Antarctica as part of their Viking Expeditions.
There are four cruises the ship slated to take voyage that year, and most trips will be either arriving or departing from Milwaukee and Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Undiscovered Great Lakes (8 days; Thunder Bay, Ontario to Milwaukee) – pricing starts at $6,695 per person, and it comes with free airfare within North America.
Great Lakes Explorer (8 days; Milwaukee to Thunder Bay, Ontario) – pricing starts at $6,495 per person, it also comes with free airfare within North America.
Niagara & The Great Lakes (8 days; Toronto to Milwaukee) – pricing starts at $5,995 per person, it also comes with free airfare within North America.
Canadian Discovery (13 days; New York to Toronto) – pricing starts at $8,995 per person, and it also comes with free airfare within North America.
The ship is expected to host 378 people, including the crew, on board and has 189 rooms on it. It also is suppose to small enough in size to navigate through polar regions, but it is long and sturdy enough to handle any rough type of waters.
