The New York Mets are going all in for Max Scherzer.

The 37-year-old former Cy Young winner is being pursued hard by the Mets and are trying to do everything possible to bring him to the Mets. They have an offer out on him, a very aggressive offer.

Aside from the Mets, the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Angels are also aggressively pursuing Scherzer as well.

Scherzer is coming off pitching for the Dodgers and his preference has been to stay on the West Coast, but the Mets are preparing to throw the heavy artillery at him when it comes to money.

Steve Cohen is one of the richest owners in baseball and Billy Eppler is an aggressive general manager who is willing to spend. The Mets have already signed Eduardo Escobar, Mark Canha and Starling Marte. Theyā€™re also in on Kevin Gausman too, plus Javier Baez.

So while Scherzer depends on where he wants to pitch in 2022, all eyes are on him and if he will accept the Mets offer; or if he decides to stay in California.
