The Lightning won the Stanley Cup for the second time in franchise history this past season and one of the main pieces of the core, Mikhail Sergachev, was a key defensive piece.

Sergachev’s ten goals in 2020 were the second most on the team’s defense and a career high that highlighted a stellar breakout campaign. The 22 year old played in 2020 and had 58 penalty minutes and 34 points. His 20:22 time on ice was third on the team. In the playoffs, he appeared in all 26 bubble games, scoring three goals and ten points.

Sergachev will return to the Bolts for the 2020-2021 and beyond, having now inked a three year, $14.4M deal.
