Mike Tyson to Present TNT Championship at AEW Double or Nothing PPV

All Elite Wrestling has announced that boxing legend “Iron” Mike Tyson will appear at its 23 May Double or Nothing pay-per-view to present the TNT Championship to the winner of the tournament to crown the inaugural champion.

The tournament finals feature Cody Rhodes taking on Lance Archer for AEW’s second singles championship belt. It’s been a hard-fought battle to the finals but Cody seems to be confident.

Mike Tyson is no stranger to wrestling, having served as special enforcer for WrestleMania XIV’s main event between WWF Champion Shawn Michaels and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. Tyson participated in the build-up to WrestleMania, bringing the WWF some high-profile attention in the mainstream media and helping to not only make that year’s “Showcase of the Immortals” a success, but adding further controversy to the edgy Attitude Era. It will prove interesting to see how Tyson helps AEW’s upcoming show and its overall image with wrestling fans and the mainstream audience any wise wrestling promoter wants to bring in.
