Less than 24 hours after “”formally” officially” kicking Jason Garrett to the curb, the Dallas Cowboys have hired former Packers head coach Mike McCarthy.
Jerry Jones is not someone that takes no for an answer. According to Adam Schefter, Jones drunkenly seduced McCarthy into becoming the head coach of America’s team.
I checked multiple times, and no, this is the real Adam Schefter and not a parody account:
McCarthy coached the Packers from 2006-2018 winning the Super Bowl in after the 2010 season.
McCarthy was fired by Aaron Rodgers before the end of the 2018 season.
As someone that doesn’t like the Cowboys at all, I think this is actually a good fit for both parties. McCarthy is inheriting a strong roster that has largely underperformed under clapping Jason Garrett.
McCarthy has always been a strong offensive coach who is now embracing analytics. It will be interesting to see what he can cook up with Dak, Zeke, and that massive offensive line in Dallas.
