UPDATE: Governor Gretchen Whitmer has signed an executive order that all bars, restaurants and many select places will be temporarily closed due to the outbreak.

Jack Hall of Radio Results Network reports that food service places and restaurants will offer take-out and delivery services in response towards Whitmer’s order.

This will all be in effect until March 30th.

Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer and the state government have issued a public/televised statement regarding the Coronavirus outbreak.

Two main talking points they discussed in the press conference was about the total number of cases regarding the virus.

Another topic discussed was about closures of casinos and bars/restaurants. It is reported that state casinos will be temporarily closed and that Governor Whitmer said she has not ruled out the possibility of closing bars/restaurants.

The government also stated that the confirmed case total has rose up to 45 total, none yet in the Upper Peninsula. 12 new cases were reported just from today alone.
