If you are big into hockey and live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, you may recognize a familiar landmark in a recent viral video.
On Twitter, the NHL’s official account posted a promo video of a man skating and playing with a puck and hockey stick on Lake Superior next to the famous Iron Ore Dock in Marquette.
You can see the camera shot captured the city of Marquette at the beginning along with the dock and frozen Lake Superior serving as picturesque backdrops to the video.
The clip was to promote the NHL Outdoors games that are being played on the NBC networks starting this Saturday afternoon with the Vegas Golden Knights facing off against the Colorado Avalanche.
It is nice to see the Upper Peninsula be represented in one of the recent clips, even though the region has been shunned in ads the last couple years by some major companies.
Plus it’s very cool that they are using the city of Marquette for a backdrop since Kraft Hockeyville USA was held there back in Fall 2016. Very nice deal to say the least.
