Chris Flexen, 26, recently finished a season in the Korean Baseball Organization. Now, he looks to be back in the Major Leagues.

Playing with the Mets and posted an 8.07 ERA, Flexen spent 2020 as a Doosan Bear where he pitched 116 IP, with a 2.74 FIP (3.01 ERA) and a 10.2 K-per-9 rate.

While he was primarily a starter in KBO, he was a reliever in the Majors. It isn’t noted which he will be for the Mariners, who are now his new home. The deal is a two year, $4.75M pact with a $4M club option. An $8M vesting option will trigger should he work 150 innings in 2022. The Mets also give up any team options on sending Flexen to send him to the minor leagues. He will earn an extra $250K should he be dealt at any point during this contract.
