At midnight, the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Major League Baseball expired and for the first time since 1994, there is a work stoppage, as baseball is locked out.

While MLB and the MLB players union were in Dallas meeting to try and work out a possible agreement, each side never got any close to resolving this lockout.

The last time the lockout happened in baseball was 1990, which lasted 30 days. The last work stoppage that happened in baseball was the strike in 1994, which cancelled the remainder of the 1994 season, the 1994 World Series and carried over into 1995.

The fans, were less than thrilled. As was everyone else involved in the game that isn’t Rob Manfred.

So now, we all wait to see when this can end. Hopefully, it isn’t around Flag Day.
