Other than being an insomniac what else would have me up at 2 AM? Two words, Luka Dončić. Luka is one of the best players in the NBA but he’s also one of the best players in the world. The man had 31 points at the half, that’s more points than Kevin Durant, Damian Lillard, and Zach Lavine had combined in four quarters. Remember when Dončić said it was easier to score in the states than it was in Europe? They called him a mad man and clearly he wasn’t so mad at all. FIBA refs allow for a more physical game to be played which makes Luka’s performance against Argentina even more impressive. They were picking him up at half court, doubling him in the paint, and making him earn everything. At the end of the day it’s Luka and he makes everything look so easy.

In his Olympic debut Luka posted a stat line of 48 PTS, 11 REB, and 5 AST. In other words just another day at the office for the 22 year old from Slovenia. I’m not sure what’s crazier, these numbers or the Olympic television schedule. I have no idea when the events start, what channel they’re on, or who had time to come up with this insane schedule. I’ll do whatever I need to do to keep up with Luka as he makes his first Olympic run.
