The highly-anticipated wild NFL offseason for 2021 has began early as the Detroit Lions and the Los Angeles Rams made their first blockbuster trade of their offseasons.
The Lions have traded their longtime franchise quarterback and former No. 1 overall pick (2009) Matthew Stafford to the Rams in exchange for fellow former No. 1 overal pick in Jared Goff (2016), a third-round pick, and two future first round picks.
Stafford comes to Los Angeles after serving 12 seasons in Detroit as their franchise quarterback, going to the Pro Bowl back in 2014.
He currently is over 45,000 passing yards, has passed for 282 touchdowns and 144 interceptions.
While Goff comes to Detroit with over 18,000 passing yards, passed for 107 touchdowns and 55 interceptions. He is also accounted for two Pro Bowl honors.
