Earlier today, PSE’s Joey Leibl noted that Le’Veon Bell to the Chiefs was picking up steam. It is now official that Le’Veon Bell is a Kansas City Chief.
Once a prominent runningback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, he went to three Pro Bowls from 2014-2017 before becoming one of the biggest headaches in football. He refused to sign his 2018 franchise tender and sat out the year. He signed with the Jets on a four year, $52.5M pact heading into the 2019 season before being unceremoniously released on Tuesday evening.
It was reported that it was down between the Dolphins, Chiefs and Bills but the one year pact with the reigning Super Bowl Champions gives him arguably the best opportunity to win a ring. He will likely be their back up once he passes the COVID-19 protocols, behind Clyde Edwards-Helaire.
The terms financially aren’t yet known, but PSE will keep you updated.
