Orlando Magic’s first round pick Cole Anthony is a problem and I feel he is being forgotten about. Tonight in his last preseason game he balled out once again finishing 19 points, 4 assists, and 2 rebounds shooting fifty percent from the field in a 120-117 against the Hornets also recording the game winner.

Cole Anthony was arguably one of the best players in college basketball last year but his season got cut short because he battled injuries and also COVID cut the season short. For people saying the Magic found a ‘gem’ I would beg to differ Anthony was one of the most gifted scores in this draft class and passers.

One of the only reasons he fell in this draft was he battled injuries throughout the season and scouts were limited in seeing actually games because of the season being shut down early. The Magic were a perfect spot for Cole to landed because they are in desperate need of a point guard and floor general and they found that in Anthony. Cole is a bucket and he is going to make an instant impact on this Magic team.

In a draft class that was so top heavy there are going to be rookies that go forgotten, Cole Anthony should not be one of them. With this current Magic team Anthony very well may be the leading scorer on this roster. It should be interesting watching him this year because if he is healthy we all know how lethal he can be if you watched him at UNC last season.

He is going to be one of the more fun rookies to watch this season and the battles he is going to have with the LaMelo and the Hornets will be fun. I don’t know what the odds are for Rookie of the Year or who is the leader but I would not discount Cole Anthony. He is going to have a huge role on the Magic maybe the taking on the biggest role of this rookie class and he is going to be asked to due a lot and I believe he is going to ball out this year. Cant believe people have already forgot about him.
