The Los Angeles Lakers have been calling every team for a trade, let’s be honest, what the hell is going on? I’m a Pistons fan and well this trade might pay off in the long run, but it sucks getting rid of Reggie Bullock. But let’s remember I seen this coming the other day.
This move was somewhat surprising seeing Detroit won Tuesday night 105-92. And the Lakers lost, 136-92.
Bullock is a solid three-point shooter. He’s 37.1 percent of his long-range attempts on a minuscule $2.5 million salary. Both of those figures are important to the Pistons.
They have $125 million in salary on their books right now. They are ninth place in the Eastern Conference and two games out of a playoff spot.
Bullock is playing on an expiring contract, so the Pistons were able to get something for him in return before the offseason.
Bullock has built on that this season with 12.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, all career highs.
Mykhailiuk is 21 and was drafted by the Lakers with the 47th pick last year and is in year one of a three-year, $4.6 million contract. The Pistons have until July 5 to guarantee his $1.4 million contract for the 2019-20 season.
I enjoyed Bullocks time in Detroit, and best of luck to him!
