Per Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the starting point guard for the Toronto Raptors who helped them win the franchise’s first NBA Championship alongside Kawhi Leonard, has reportedly had discussions internally with the Raptors for a possible trade to a contender and has the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Clippers, and the Philadelphia 76ers as preferred trade destinations. Per sources, the Raptors are expected to allow Lowry to compete for a championship especially being on the last year of his deal.

ALSO, Kyle Lowry’s agent did come out and say the rumor he prefers a certain destination isn’t true, but we all know that could just be him quieting the media, who wouldn’t wanna play for their hometown team who’s number one in their conference.

Kyle Lowry is a native of Philadelphia and would certainly give the team a solid starting point guard with championship experience. The Miami Heat and Los Angeles Clippers also are in the bidding for Lowry as he has a chance to reunite with Kawhi Leonard and Serge Ibaka in Los Angeles. We expect to him to dealt relatively soon considering the Raptors are 16-17 and have Fred VanFleet signed to a max-deal to be the franchises next point guard.

Kyle Lowry’s agent didn’t agree with the rumors.
