As we get closer to the release of Mortal Kombat 11 next month, the roster continues to grow in exponential ways. And that includes two faces that fans should be quite pleased to see.

In a new trailer, which you can see above, it was confirmed that Kotal Kahn would be joining the game. However, he’s put right into the crosshairs of the returning Jacqui Briggs, who’s more than ready to deliver an explosive punch to the proceedings.

The trailer features quite a few blows between the two, but eventually wins with Jacqui on top, delivering a powerful fatality that’ll have you thinking twice about interdimensional dividers. I mean, OUCH.

Here’s the official description for the characters, straight from Warner Bros:

Kotal Kahnis an Osh-Tekk warrior and Emperor of Outworld. Years ago, Kotal saved the Empire from chaos and claimed the throne of Kahn. Now his reign is plagued by rising tensions at home and abroad. Determined to keep order, Kotal wrestles with the temptation to exercise the same brutal tactics as his predecessors. Kotal summons the power of the sun to strengthen his abilities against his opponents. Additionally, a more in-depth look at the fighting style of Kotal Kahn’s opponent, Jacqui Briggs,is showcased in the trailer with her implementing experience as a competitive fighter trained in kickboxing and martial arts.

The closed beta for the game is set to kick off on March 27 and run through March 31 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Meanwhile, if it’s the Nintendo Switch version you’re after, it’ll be playable at Nintendo’s booth at PAX East in Boston next weekend, if you’re in the area.

The game releases on April 23 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. Now let’s FIGHT!
