It was announced Monday by HOF chairmen Jerry Colangelo that Kobe will be inducted and honored at this year’s Hall of fame ceremony.

Bryant was announced as a nominee back in December alongside KG, Tim Duncan, and Tim Hardaway. In what was set to be one of the most start-studded HOF classes in NBA history.

Following Sunday’s tragic incident Colangelo decided to skip typical HOF voting processes and announce Bryant as an inductee.

Kobe retired in 2016 as a five-time NBA champion, 11-time ALL-NBA first-team selections, 2008 MVP, two-time Finals MVP, 18-time all-star and Four-time all-star MVP. Playing all 20 seasons with the purple and gold.
