NBA Legend Kobe Bryant makes a posthumous appearance in the ongoing Netflix series The Last Dance. Bryant reportedly filmed scenes for the show just weeks before his tragic helicopter crash in January that also also his 13-year old daughter and seven other passengers die.

Kobe’s appearance would see the NBA all-star describe how Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls inspired his own career on the court.

“I grew up watching Michael on TV, and now you got a chance to go face-to-face with him?” Kobe stated about the game in 1998 when he first took the court with MJ. “You get a chance to really see and, like, touch and feel his strength, speed, quickness. It was fun to be out there.”

In what is now a heartbreaking statement, Kobe would describe how Jordan was like a brother to him. “Like, I had a question about shooting this turnaround shot, so I asked him about it, and, you know, he gave me a great detailed answer,” he continued. “But on top of that, he said, ‘If you ever need anything, give me a call.’ He’s like my big brother.”
