The Lions number one wide receiver, Kenny Golladay, is scheduled to be a free agent this offseason. With Matthew Stafford moving on this offseason, many assumed Golladay would be on his way out. Golladay came on Good Morning Football this morning, and by his comments, it doesn’t seem like Golladay is going anywhere.

Golladay was impressed by Dan Campbell, saying that he brings the energy. Golladay seems like he is ready to bite some kneecaps off. Keeping Golladay on this team would be huge. His stats speak themself, back to back 1,000-yard seasons in 2018 and 2019. Add a pro-bowl appearance to that resume. Golladay only played five games in 2019 thanks to a hip injury, still catching for 338 yards and two touchdowns. The Lions will most likely have a rookie quarterback, Golladay being in Detroit would make that transition for the rookie a hell of a lot easier.

Golladay and the Lions still need to agree on a new contract. As of now, it seems like Golladay could be franchise tagged. Let’s pray that the Lions can figure this out.
