Justin Verlander To The Yankees?

Spread the love

Justin Verlander 38 year old former CY Award Winner, and World Series Champion who is a free agent is looking contribute on another World Series team. Verlander who has not pitched in over a year is coming off of Tommy John surgery was reportedly throwing 95-98 mph infront of several MLB teams at a recent showcase.

ESPN’s Jeff Passan says Justin Verlander will sign with the Yankees sometime this week. One of those teams is the Yankees. Dating back to 2008 it seems that the Yankees have had connections to Verlander but nothing has ever come between the two parties.

This move makes sense right now for both parties; the Yankees need arms and Justin would be that veteran guy they need and he could compete for a World Series with them.

The Yankees are looking to have a big offseason and the rumblings are it could be like their free agency in 2008 when they signed; CC, AJ Burnett, and Mark Teixeira. If they sign Verlander expect more dominos to fall and quick.
