Kirby Smart and the Georgia coaching staff finally did what everyone has been begging for, they started JT Daniels at quarterback. The former five-star didn’t disappoint in his first start for the Dawgs.
Daniels threw for 401 yards on 28-38 passing for four touchdowns leading Georgia to a 31-24 win. Daniels was a stud all night long, he showed what the fans have been begging for.
You get the point, Daniels was dropping dimes all night long. He was doing things that we haven’t seen out of a Georgia quarterback since Aaron Murray.
That’s some good company to be in. The defensive performance was something that Georgia should be worried about, giving up 24 points to a two-win Mississippi State team. But that’s not what’s important right now, the important thing is that Georgia found their quarterback. I still can’t believe Kirby played Stetson Bennett over this guy for so long. He finally came to his senses, but too little too late.
