As the world knows, former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Jon Jones was arrested last month for misdemeanor battery violence and tampering with a vehicle after a drunken night out in Las Vegas.

The events of that night have come to light. The woman involved was his current fiancé and mother of his children. She told police that Jones was aggressive, but not violent; he allegedly grabbed her by the back of the head/hair to prevent her from leaving the hotel room. According to the arrest report, she was observed “bleeding from her nose and or mouth.” Police observed the woman’s bloody clothing and bedsheets. Police also noted that she had a swollen lip.

Jones released a statement on social media denying the domestic disturbance, but acknowledged alcohol is an issue.

However, there was one alleged tweet that he deleted, but you can’t hide from the internet. Jones tried blaming his outbursts on past trauma and being molested as a child. This has never been confirmed or corroborated by others. Read for yourself:

Jones has previously been arrested for a hit-and-run that left a pregnant woman injured and stranded. He was also previously arrested for a DUI. He was arrested in 2019 for an assault against a waitress. His latest arrest was in 2020 for aggravated DWI, negligent use of a firearm, possession of an open container and driving with no proof of insurance.

Jon Jones is his own worst enemy. Until he can fully admit what he allegedly did that night, he’ll continue his cycle of destruction. The police noted his fiancé’s bloody lip/mouth, swollen lip, bloody sheets and clothing. She didn’t magically end up in that state. Jones needs a refresher course on the definition of accountability.
