Former Super Bowl champion with the Seattle Seahawks and veteran wide receiver Jermaine Kearse is signing with the Detroit Lions.

Reported from Tim Twentyman of detroitlions.com, Kearse’s deal is for a one-year deal.

The deal is worth up to over $1.3 million, but may end up at over $2 million after the 2019 season ends based upon incentives.

As noted by Twentyman, Kearse spent five seasons with current Lions offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell and contributed solid stats during his time in Seattle.

He was also known for making big catches like the one pictured in a GIF down below.

Kearse is hoping for a fresh start in Detroit after spending the last two seasons with the New York Jets.

Last season, he started nine of 14 games played, catching 37 passes for 371 yards and one touchdown.

Kearse is expected to join Kenny Golladay, Marvin Jones Jr., Danny Amendola, Tommylee Lewis, and rookie Travis Fulgham in the Lions wide receiving corps.
