Ja’Marr Chase Shows Up To Bengals Practice Late And In Street Clothes

Cincinnati Bengals star WR Ja’Marr Chase was 13 minutes late to practice and showed up in street clothes despite Head Coach Zac Taylor saying he was going to practice.

This comes a day after Taylor saying that he expects Chase to continue to be involved in the team’s preparations for the 2024 season

Chase is seeking an contract extension. He has two years remaining on his rookie contract. Chase has sat out of training camp and the preseason.

The Bengals selected Chase with the fifth overall pick of the 2021 NFL draft. He went on to win the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award and was named second-team All-Pro in 2021.

The 24 year-old Chase is a three-time Pro Bowler. He has 268 catches for 3,717 yards and 29 touchdowns in his three years career.

Chase is looking to cash in, as he has witnessed the massive deals given Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings and CeeDee Lamb of the Dallas Cowboys.
