We all love to go hard and celebrate a big win in the NHL Playoffs, especially if it’s an elimination game. But what happened after the New York Islanders fans did after forcing a Game 7 with an overtime win over the Tampa Bay Lightning, it was mind-boggling to say the least.

Immediately after forward Anthony Beauvillier scored a game-winning goal in Game 6, Islanders fans poured the Nassau Coliseum ice to their team with beer cans in celebration.

Usually this would happen if the game had a call or moment in which fans would sharply disagree with, but this beer can throwing stunt seems to have happened—in a good way—from the fans.

Especially, considering if the Islanders get eliminated by Tampa Bay in Game 7, let’s say the Nassau Coliseum got themselves a great goodbye before the team moves to their new home in Belmont Park (near Queens).

If New York does pull off the series win, maybe the stunt was all for not. At least the fans had something to look back onto after that critical win in Game 6.
