Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana, the famed university that is home to the great Larry Bird and the 1979 Indiana State Sycamores, who were the NCAA Men’s Basketball Runner-Ups that season to Magic Johnson & the Michigan State Spartans announced Tuesday morning of their new logo change for all Sycamore Athletics.

It has been replaced by this new change:

It should be known that ISU went for more of a modern change; gone is the star and the classic cursive font of “Sycamores” – replaced with a block of the state of Indiana and an all-CAPS “Sycamores” look.

And as a result, most people aren’t a fan of the change.

Personally, I’m not a ISU fan. But, I think more creativity could played well in the Graphics Design Department at Indiana State University. I mean, these were great:
