The Miami Hurricanes demolished the Florida Gators 41-17 on the road in “The Swamp.” It was statement win and put everyone notice that the Canes are back and ready to contend.
The Canes were led by QB Cam Ward. He put on a show completing 26 of 35 passes for 385 yards with three touchdowns and one interception.
Ward’s talents were on display with pinpoint passing and his legs to escape pressure. He completed passes to 10 different targets.
The Miami defense held Florida to 261 total yards while registering 3 sacks and 2 interceptions.
This is Year 3 under Head Coach Mario Cristobal and the Hurricanes look deep and talented. Yesterday’s domination of the Gators gets the 2024 season off to a good start.
