As part of the Country Music section here on Pro Sports Extra, me and a couple other bloggers have been searching for some upcoming or breakout music stars to do a feature on. And this artist here is a good one.

Native of Opelousas, Louisiana, Kylie Frey is as country as it gets—and that in comes in looks, musical and singing talent, and personality.

Along with being involved with rodeos and winning championships in goat-tying, she in heavily involved in her music. Her music style is influenced from the likes of Shania Twain, Trisha Yearwood, Patty Loveless, and more.

She was also known for being one of Twain’s protégés in USA Network’s ‘Real Country’ show back in 2018. She was nominated for a couple awards for ‘New Female Country Artist of the Year’ and ‘Music Video of the Year’ for her song, “The Chase” via the Daily Advertiser.

So here are a five songs that you would want to listen and jam to:

NOTE: list may include songs that were sang at her home during quarantine.

5. “Spur of the Moment”

4. “Too Bad” ft. Randy Rogers Band

3. “Me and These Boots”

2. “One Night in Tulsa”

1. “The Chase”

No wonder she was nominated for those such awards. She really is that talented.

If you want to view more videos of Frey’s songs, click here to view them on her YouTube channel.

Also click here for her website and keep up-to-date on her music journey.

Her next concert performance will take place on August 15 at the Chase County State Fair in Imperial, Nebraska.
