Henry Ruggs was traveling 156 MPH before Tuesday’s crash with a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit. At the time of impact, Ruggs was traveling 127 MPH. The car cash left a 23-year-old woman dead.

Ruggs showed up to court this morning to face charges that were connected to Tuesday morning’s crash.

In addition to the 23-year-old woman who died, she also had a dog in her car at the time that passed away as well.

Ruggs has been charged with DUI resulting death. If convicted on this charge, Ruggs could end up facing two to 20 years in prison. He was also charged with reckless driving which could carry a one to six year sentence as well.
