Is former President Donald J. Trump about to be reinstated this August? That’s the narrative being pushed by papers such as The New York Times and the website Mediaite, which are warning that some Trump supporters are making the rounds claiming the WWE Hall of Famer will be reinstated in August.

Mediaite reports:

Former President Donald Trump is telling people that he expects to get reinstated in the White House by August, according to New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman.

Haberman shared this rather stunning detail in response to a CNN segment from Donie O’Sullivan.  The video features a number of QAnon followers lauding a Myanmar-style coup of the U.S. government to replace President Joe Biden with Trump.

The New York Times‘ Maggie Haberman tweeted:

There appear to be rumblings about Trump supporters and/or former associates suggesting the former host of Celebrity Apprentice could somehow get back in the White House. Business Insider reports:

“A new inauguration date is set, and Biden is told to move out of the White House, and President Trump should be moved back in,” she continued. “I’m sure there’s not going to be credit for time lost, unfortunately, because the Constitution itself sets the date for inauguration, but he should definitely get the remainder of his term and make the best of it.”

Haberman seems to be insinuating that the current criminal probe in New York could be driving the alleged efforts to get Trump back in office.

With some people still claiming the election was affected by widespread fraud, there’s no telling how many people believe Donald Trump is entitled to take office. At the same time, critics who argue the January 6 2021 storming of the Capitol was blown out of proportion may feel the government is setting people up to claim there is another “insurrection” coming.
