Twenty years ago today, Vince Carter destroyed the seven foot two Frenchman Frédéric Weis in the 2000 Olympics. Weis was drafted with the 13th overall pick by the New York Knicks in the 1999 Draft. Knicks fans were not happy with the pick because St.John’s small forward Ron Artest was available. Artest didn’t only play college ball in New York City, Artest was even from Queens, NY. Weis never ended up playing in the league, never signing his rookie contract.

This dunk is something special, considered by many the best in-game dunk of all time. Carter is one of the league’s best dunkers ever and in my opinion the best in-game dunker ever. He won the dunk contest earlier that season. If you don’t think Vince is the best in-game dunker ever, then spend some free time watching these insane Vince Carter dunks and get back to me.
