New York Giants first-round pick Malik Nabers suffered a foot injury during practice on Sunday morning.
Nabers limped off the practice field. Per Par Leonard of the New York Daily News.
“Nabers was reaching down and touching the top outside of his left foot,” as per Leonard.
The Giants selected Nabers with the sixth overall draft pick in this year’s NFL Draft. He was expected to be the team’s No. 1 wide receiver.
The severity of the injury is not clear and neither is how Nabers got hurt. Trainers examined his left ankle. Nabers put his sock back on and got up and when he tried to walk, he limped badly.
This is not a good sign for the Giants, as they are really depending on Nabers. They do not have many playmaking weapons on offense.
