G4 Network recently saw a revival for the first time since 2014. G4 was a video game network that was highly popular ran by NBCUniversal as pay cable subscription. It’s main show was “Attack of the Show” hosted by Olivia Munn. On the November 24th revival show, Munn announced that their latest host is current WWE Raw Tag Team Champion Xavier Woods.

Woods, who is one of the WWEs most successful acts of the last decade, is a huge video game fan. His channel UpUpDownDown is one of the most popular video gaming channels on YouTube. He had also been campaigning for a host spot since the revival was announced in July.

UpUpDownDown has roughly 2.25M subscribers. Woods also regularly discussed video games on all of his social media and his podcast. In an interview with Variety, Woods (under his real name Austin Creed), expressed how elated he was to become the first signed new talent for the brand’s revival.  “As a kid growing up who at a certain point, got made fun of for playing video games—because once we got to adolescence, certain people put the controllers down and started poking fun at everyone else—G4 was kind of like a safe haven for me and without that, I’m not sure if I would be the person that I am today.”
