There is also unlikely to be a reunion with Branislav Ivanovic, the former Chelsea defender who signed for West Brom earlier this month.Lampard will be expecting another improvement from his team after they hammered Barnsley 6-0 in the Carabao Cup during midweek with Kai Havertz scoring a hat-trick in just over an hour from the No10 role.

The £72million signing should remain in that role but with Tammy Abraham also impressing the England striker could get a first Premier League start of the campaign. That could mean Timo Werner starts on the left wing, with Mason Mount moved on to the right.

All will become clear when the team news is confirmed an hour before kick-off.
