Northern Michigan University (NMU) hockey fans are in mourning today as longtime public address announcer and junior hockey director Tim ‘Mac’ McIntosh has died.

Prior to his passing, McIntosh served on Marquette’s Parks and Rec Board as ambassador and the director of the Marquette Junior Hockey program for 47 years before retiring in October 2019. He

Also noted from our prior post on McIntosh, McIntosh’s voice was recognizable for NMU Hockey/athletic fans, students and alumni far and wide. In his 44 year career as an announcer, he was voice of games at both the Lakeview Arena and the Berry Events Center.
