The Keweenaw Report has reported in their story that five employees of the GreenTree nursing home in Hubbell (in the Upper Peninsula’s Houghton County) all have tested positive for the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

A statement posted from the nursing home’s Facebook page said that the employees have been released from work for two weeks, and must have two negative test results before being able to come back.

It is also stated that no residents have tested positive for the virus at the home.

As mentioned in the statement above, employees and residents are tested weekly and are closely monitored regarding for their safety.

The home is currently closed to all visitors, with only medical professionals and staff allowed to enter.

Exceptions are only made if someone’s health changes strongly. Then, only two people will be allowed inside following strict health and social distancing guidelines.

Social activities have been cancelled, and daily activities are done with residents on a one-on-one basis.
