Early in the first quarter in the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, the Michigan State Spartans were down 7-3 to the Wake Forest University Demon Deacons until a big play happened from the Spartan defense.

On third down and four, MSU defensive lineman Jacub Panasiuk deflected a pass from Wake quarterback Jamie Newman —which goes off the back of sophomore linebacker Noah Harvey to the hands of Jacob’s older brother Mike, where he returns for a touchdown to give MSU a 10-7 lead.

The older Panasiuk, however, would also get an ‘unsportsmanlike conduct’ penalty after doing the Derek Jeter ‘tip of the cap’ celebration right after he scored.

Even though he got penalized for that play, he had been given the respect he deserved from fans (including suspended senior linebacker Joe Bachie) on social media for the celebration.

I would be doing it too, if I was at Yankee Stadium as well.
