The NBA season is back, which means ESPN is firing off their coverage of just the teams and players that will get them the most clicks. This was extremely evident last night as the Golden State Warriors took on the Milwaukee Bucks.

If you were to scroll through the ESPN’s official twitter page, you’d have no clue the Warriors are off to an 0-2 start with 26 point and 39 point losses. You’d probably think to yourself that they’re undefeated and Steph Curry is the obvious MVP front runner.

You’d be wrong. In their 39 point blowout loss last night, ESPN, Sportscenter, NBA on ESPN, and Bleacher Report posted a combined 13 tweets about the Golden State Warriors. The team that won? 3 tweets.

Down 10 before half, a great shot by Steph, but no Milwaukee Bucks tweets prior to this.

Down 14 in the 3rd quarter. Still no Bucks tweets.

The first Bucks tweet, and ONLY tweet about Khris Middleton who dropped 31 points in their 39 point victory.

And to cap it all off, with a total of 2 Bucks highlights posted during their 138 point performance, ESPN posts this blocked shot by James Wiseman with 25 seconds left in the game, down by 40.

Bleacher Report only posted 3 tweets of this entire game, all of them being about the Warriors. It’s sad to see major sports media companies like this ignoring some of the best players in the league because they happen to be on a small market team.

Khris Middleton is one of the more underrated players in the entire league. He’s been the number two in Milwaukee behind Giannis for many years and you barely hear his name.

With NBA in full swing, don’t expect to see many highlights posted by ESPN unless it’s from players like Curry, Lebron, AD, KD, Kyrie, Luka, or Kawhi.
