Philadelphia Eagles rookie CB Cooper DeJean will start training camp on the NFI list and could be out up to three weeks due to a hamstring injury, as per Jeremy Fowler ESPN.
DeJean suffered the injury while training prior to reporting to camp. He had a chance to start the season at slot corner.
The Eagles selected DeJean with the 40th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft out of Iowa.
In spring practice DeJean worked at both outside and slot cornerback for the Eagles. He was also a possibility at safety if needed.
Along with DeJean, the Eagles have Avonte Maddox, Tyler Hall, and Zech McPhearson battling it out at slot corner.
