Philadelphia Eagles edge rusher Bryce Huff will have wrist surgery on Thursday, as confirmed by Head Coach Nick Sirianni.
The Eagles hope to get Huff back in the latter stages of the season. He has 2.5 sacks and four quarterback hits through 10 games.
Huff was signed to a three-year, $51 million free agent contract he signed this offseason. He has been a disappointment so far.
The Eagles were hoping to get more bang for the buck from Huff. He has basically been a situational pass rusher so far this season.
Nolan Smith has started in place of Huff and 3.5 sacks this season. The former first round pick out of Georgia is having a productive second year.
Huff’s injury also opens up playing time for rookie Jalyx Hunt.
