The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Baltimore Ravens 24-19 for their eighth straight win and improve to 10-2 on the season.
The Eagles young and physical defense took over the game. The play that exemplified the physicality of the defense was made by rookie CB Cooper DeJean.
Prior to the Ravens final drive in garbage time, the Eagles held the high powered Ravens offense to just 12 points and 302 yards.
This is a Ravens offense that is led by QB Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry. This young defense went on the road and took it to them.
The Eagles best defensive player put on a show yesterday. DT Jalen Carter is a game wrecker. He had 8 pressures, 7 hurries, 3 TFLs, 2 QB hits and 1 sack against the best offense in the league.
LB Zack Baun continues to make big plays.He led the Eagles in total tackles with 13 and solo tackles with eight.
This defense is allowing just 13.6 offensive points per game since their Week 5 bye. The architect of this top unit is Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio.
The Eagles offense offense was tough and efficient in the second and fourth quarters. They continue to physical football and wear down opposing defenses.
RB Saquon Barkley continues his historic season. He rushed for 107 yards on 23 carries with a game winning touchdown run.
Barkley’s 107 yards were the most rushing yards the Ravens had allowed to a running back this year. He now has a total of 1,499 rushing yards for the season.
QB Jalen Hurts had another solid performance. He was was 11 for 19 passing for 118 yards with one touchdown pass. He also added a rushing touchdown as well.
The receiving attack was led by WR A.J. Brown and TE Dallas Goedert. Brown had 5 catches for 66 yards. Goedert had 3 catches for 35 yards and a touchdown.
The Eagles offensive line was dominant once again yesterday. They continually enforced their will on the Ravens defense.
Eagles Head Coach Nick Sirianni deserves a ton of credit. He is sets the tone for this team and they mirror his image.
Sirianni preaches tough and physical football. This team exemplifies it in all phases of the game.
This Philadelphia Eagles team doesn’t have any weaknesses. Even when they’re not playing great, they’re still tough to play against. They beat you up and wear you down.
