The Philadelphia Eagles have announced a new uniform combination for the opening game against the Green Bay Packers on Friday, September 6 in São Paulo, Brazil.
They will wear their white jersey, black pants and helmet with white socks. This will be the debut of this uniform combination.
The Eagles decision was inspired by the fact that the game against the Packers being played in São Paulo, Brazil, at Arena Corinthians, which is home to the Corinthians soccer team, as per Brooks Kubena of The Athletic.
Kubena said that city laws prevent fans from wearing green at Corinthians matches to “cut down hooliganism,” so the idea is that wearing black will endear the Eagles to the fans in São Paulo.
