Michigan Wolverine QB Dylan McCaffrey is both opting-out of the upcoming season and transferring from the school. This comes at the same time star Wolverine WR Nico Collins decided to opt-out as well but for the NFL Draft. This was all shortly after the Big Ten announcement that they were going to have a season.

Collins will likely be a Day-2 pick at worst. McCaffery will search for a new school to call home after not being able to beat out Joe Milton for the job. Dylan, the younger brother of Christian, was a 4-star recruit who came to Ann Arbor with high hopes under the tutelage of Jim Harbaugh. He played a few snaps behind Shea Patterson, but had a fair share of injuries. In 2019, he went 10-20 passing with 1 touchdown, and in 2018 he went 8-16 passing with 2 touchdowns.

Joe Milton will now be the likely starting QB for Big Blue. In the few snaps he had last year, he went 3-7 with a touchdown. In 2018, went 3-4 for 58 yards. He might not have much experience, but the 6-5 junior for Pahokee, FL has tons of talent, and especially a rocket arm. It’ll definitely be exciting to toss the rock around in Ann Arbor.
