Interim head coach Bill Callahan has publicly announced that Dwayne Haskins will start the Redskins game against the Buffalo Bills.
Haskins has seen action two regular season games thus far, including the teams loss to the Minnesota Vikings last Thursday, completing 12 of 22 passes for 150 yards and 4 interceptions while also being sacked 4 times.
Haskins was the 15th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft after having a monster season at Ohio State.
With the Redskins 1-7 so far this season, it makes sense to see if Haskins is the future at quarterback or if they will pull an Arizona Cardinal and draft a QB in the top ten back to back years.
The Redskins organization has been a mess the past decade or two and the team really cannot afford to miss on a quarterback. In limited snaps so far this season, Haskins obviously has struggled. We will see if Callahan’s run first approach will benefit the rookie QB by keeping him upright and opening up some easy completions via play action passes.
