Dodgers Advance to Third World Series in Four Years

It was a night where all the breaks went the Dodgers way: Mookie Betts robbing Freddie Freeman of a homerun, as well both Dansby Swanson and Austin Riley forgetting how to run the bases stand out. Ultimately, it is irrelevant because while the Braves jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead, it quickly evaporated when catcher Will Smith drove in two.

The Braves went back on top, yet it was baserunning miscues that cost Atlanta in the top of the fourth.

Immediately, the Dodgers tied it back up due to heroics from Enrique Hernandez.

Then it was tied no longer.

For the Braves, it’s yet another game that falls under that Kent Hrbek, Lenny Dysktra, Chris Burke, Infield Fly category. The Braves, who looked destined to return to the World Series are going home.

The Dodgers have returned to the Fall Classic, losing both in 2017 and 2018. Could the third time be the charm? They play the Tampa Bay Rays, the team that hasn’t been since 2008. The Dodgers were the first team since the 2008 Rays to hit 16 homeruns in an LCS.

Game One starts Tuesday on FOX.
