A big day awaits at the Upper Peninsula of Michigan-Wisconsin border as President Donald Trump is expected to visit the Fincantieri Marinette Marine and Shipyard Thursday afternoon.

WLUC TV6 had a Facebook Live video set up of President Trump’s departure from Washington, D.C. and will have coverage of the President’s entire trip.

The news outlet and Radio Results Network (Jack Hall) will post more live videos/segments regarding this event throughout the day.

The President is expected to deliver a speech on the shipyard and the contract awarded to the Marine. The contract is slated for the company to build 10 new ships for the Navy frigate program, with the cost coming to around $5.5 billion.

The President’s speech is slated to start at 5 PM EST/4 PM CST.

As part of the contract details reported via TV6, the Marine will also carry out a plan to invest $200 million into the state of Wisconsin and bring in more than 1,000 news jobs at the shipyard.

We encourage everyone to stay tuned and look out for more updates on TV 6’s Facebook page as well.
