Cornell joins cornerback Jeff Okudah (first-round) and guard Jonah Jackson (second third pick) to come to the Motor City out of Columbus.
He will join a crowded defensive line corps in which also fields defensive ends Trey Flowers and Romeo Okwara, nose tackles Danny Shelton and sixth-round pick John Penisini.
The corps also fields defensive tackles DeShawn Hand and Nick Williams, and outside linebacker/defensive end hybrids Austin Bryant and third-round pick Julian Okwara.
